Carpenter Ants

• Size ¼”-1/2”
• Usually found near moisture in the kitchen and bathrooms.
• Most active in the spring and fall.
• Reproductive Carpenter Ants have wings.
 
Pavement Ants

• About 3-mm long
• Colonies are found in small mounds of dirt.
• Feed on greases, pet foods and sweet materials. 
 
Subterranean Termite Worker

• Tunnel through wood and ingest the wood, no frass or sawdust is left behind.
• They can build mud tubes between the soil and any wooden part of your building.
 
Termite Winged Adult

• A swarm is triggered by rain or springtime (Warming temperatures and lengthening days).
• They are attracted to the light and fly upward at first.

·     Swarm at a very limited time of year.

·     Swarm through the year depending on the species.

 

 

·     They have four wings of equal size.

·     They have four wings two smaller and two larger.

 

 

 

·    Have a straight waist and straight

    antennas.

·     Have a pinched waist and elbowed antennas.

 

·     Wings may fall off.

 

 

 

American Cockroaches

• Sometimes called a “Palmetto Bug”.
• About 1.5” long, with full-sized reddish brown wings and a light margin on their prothorax.
• Also found in sewers and basements.
 
German Cockroaches

• About 5/8-inch long, light to medium brown with two dark parallel stripes.
• They breed year round indoors.
• Produce 30-40 eggs in each capsule.
• Usually in Kitchen and Bathroom areas.
 
Oriental Cockroaches

• Sometimes called a “Water Bug”.
• Large in size, very dark (almost black but sometimes reddish-brown).
 
Bedbugs

• Usually flat, has a reddish-brown color and about the size of a lentil.
• They are nocturnal.
• Can survive up to a year without a host.
• Can live in couches and other furniture.
 
Fleas
• About 1/8 inches long, wingless and has 3 pairs of legs.
• Bite will often leave a small red irritated area that causing a burning sensation when scratced.
